About us
Unfortunately, music education is accompanied by a significant cost in today's era. The expenses associated with private lessons are on an upward trajectory. In a world already plagued by socioeconomic disparities, it is imperative that music does not succumb to the same fate. Music has the potential to shape individuals' lives and serve as a source of joy for both the musicians and those around them. In patients with dementia, music is one of the things they remember the longest. With Practice Pals, our objective is to bridge the gap and make music education more accessible, as it rightfully should be. Individuals with potential should not be constrained by financial limitations.

Our program
If you have experience with music lessons, you may have encountered intimidating teachers, even though we know they have our best interests at heart. Student mentors can help make students feel more comfortable with their instrument. The students' lessons will take place after school at Lexington High School. The date and time are at the students' discretion and will be matched with a peer mentor with a similar schedule. If not, flexibility may be needed.
